FAITH
Like most great stories, ours begins with Faith!
“Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.” Hebrews 11:1
It wasn’t an easy journey to open The Montgomery Grove, but we all had faith that God would see us through, if it was meant to be.
Collectively, we believed in this dream. A dream that for two families started in Mexico and South Africa. The American Dream.
Faith that two couples had when they got married, started a family, and then went into business together.
Belief that hard work, perseverance and trust in the Lord would one day bring our dreams to life.
FOOD
What’s a great story or gathering or memory without food? Good food brings us together! Great food feeds our soul!
“So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” 1 Corinthians 10:31
Our love of food and desire for culinary excellence is at the heart of what we do at The Montgomery Grove. We serve great food in a simple way!
We want you enjoy every bite and crave to come visit us again!
FAMILY
Family is at the heart of what we do. We have become each other’s family through this journey. You, the community, are our family.
“Anyone who does not provide for their relatives, and especially for their own household, has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.” 1 Timothy 5:8
We restored the old Heritage House and designed The Montgomery Grove Restaurant to feel like home,
so that you can feel like family, and know that you belong!
FUN!
“Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice.” Philippians 4:4
Under the shade of The Grove, we want families to have fun!
There will be hard times again. But having a place where community comes together,
That’s what we call FUN!

Jaime was not born in Texas, “but got here as soon as he could!” Raised in Montgomery County since the age of 3, he loves this community and enjoys serving in many ways!
Although he is an introvert, once you get to know him, you can enjoy the depths of his creative gifts. He loves drawing, mixing music, photography/videography, and has many outdoor hobbies. But his best creative talent that he enjoys the most and shares with our community is through FOOD!
He first discovered his talent, working as a line cook for Pizza Shack, in Willis, where he worked for over 10 years. After learning the basics, he was drawn to experiment, putting his own influences and culinary ideas on a plate (or box!) for people to enjoy. He then used this passion and creativity to help grow the very popular food trucks, ‘Wiches on Wheels and Dizzy Pies. These two trucks have now evolved into The Montgomery Grove Restaurant, of which Jaime is a co-owner.
Believing that your true passion and drive is shown through work you genuinely enjoy, he also aims to help others discover their positive potential in life! This father of two, is one of the nicest, most humble men you’ll ever meet and always sees the best in others. Jaime shows his love through cooking and lifting others up! Come out to The Montgomery Grove to enjoy the magnificent culinary experience that he is excited to serve you!

One of the hardest working and fiercely loyal people you’ll ever meet! Kristen grew up in Grand Prairie Texas and moved down to Montgomery after meeting her husband Mike in Dallas. They have been married for 19 years, and have two children together, Caden and Laney. Kristen loves God and her family and is excited to spread that love throughout the community through The Montgomery Grove’s food.
Her previous experience includes working at a financial firm, working at various local elementary schools and teaching many teen groups about Christ at her church. Committed to anything she puts her mind to; she is also a brown belt in Tae Kwan Do. She has a heart to serve, and support not only her family, but community as well. In 2007 she and her husband, Mike built their first food truck. After a brief step away for him to follow his calling into ministry, they rejoined the food industry with a second truck. Her dedication and hard work were instrumental in the success of those two trucks, which lead to the opening of The Montgomery Grove.
She spends quiet time with God every morning, enjoys singing, painting, watching comedies, reading and of course cooking. You won’t often see her at the front of the restaurant, but know she’s there every day, working hard for the quality food you enjoy.

Food has always been Mike’s passion and way to reduce stress! Owning a restaurant has been a lifelong dream of his and in 2007 he and his wife, Kristen built their first food truck, ‘Wiches on wheels. They operated part time in downtown Conroe, however shortly thereafter Mike felt a calling to be in Ministry and put his food dreams on hold. After serving as youth pastor in the community, he came back to the food truck business, and this time he added a pizza truck, called Dizzy Pies. Years of hard work and two very successful food trucks brought the opportunity for The Montgomery Grove restaurant to become a reality.
Originally from Conroe, Texas, he grew up with a family that always got together and cooked, just enjoying being together. Mike moved to Dallas after college, where he met the love of his life and business partner, Kristen. Thanks to a promotion, they were able to move back down closer to family in Montgomery, where they call home with their two children and dog Charlie. Mike has a bachelor’s in business administration degree in Marketing from Southwest Texas State, plus years of sales and managerial experience. He loves people. It’s hard to visit the Grove without receiving a big welcoming smile from Mike and he makes it his priority to ensure every guest has the best experience. He enjoys food, reading and spending time with his family. He has always considered his personal mission statement to be Faith, Food, Family & Fun.

Conroe, Texas has been Josh’s hometown for most of his life, it’s no wonder he lives there now. His family has lived in Montgomery for years, this area is very close to his heart. He met his wife Gayle while they both were attending Sam Houston State University. She was born and grew up in South Africa and moved to The Woodlands Texas in the late 1990’s. They have been married for 16 years, and have two children, two dogs and a cat.
One of the ways Gayle expresses her love is through food, she jokingly says that’s how she won Josh’s heart, as he wasn’t much of a cook, but loves to eat. She has a business administration degree in Marketing, and her previous experience includes almost twenty years as a marketing and accounting professional in the oil and gas industry, event planning and she is currently a life coach and founder of a nonprofit, working with families to help set healthy boundaries on technology. She enjoys reading, writing, playing tennis and being outdoors. One of her creative outlets is cooking and she often dreamed of owning a restaurant.
In addition to having a business degree from Sam Houston State University, Josh’s experience includes customer service, sales and most recently over 20 years in the commercial real estate industry, where he is currently a partner at Newcor. Josh’s hard work, dedication, and desire to invest in our local community led him to the idea of creating an outdoor space for families that serves great food. It was around that time that he reconnected with high school friend, Mike Anderson one day eating at their food truck. Josh enjoys sports, reading and spending time with his family. You won’t see Gayle & Josh at the restaurant every day, but their passion for quality family time, delicious food and an inviting environment is always present.
